Where are our range hoods made?
Does our hoods meet government requirements?
-Yes, all our hoods are either ETL or UL certified. ETL and UL are two of the world’s leading safety certification company. This insures that our hoods pass all quality and safety requirements.
Which is better, ducted or ductless Range Hoods?
-Range hoods should always be ducted to the outside of the home. While duct free filters trap some of the grease and odors from light cooking, the humidity, smoke and heat will all be re-circulated back into the home. Ducted Range hoods are recommended.
Which models can vent thru the back as well as the top?
What is the shape and the size of the back vent?
-Shape: Rectangular Size: Approx. 3 ¼ x 10”
What does CFM mean?
-CFM stands for Cubic feet per Minute of exhausting airflow. It tells us how many cubic feet of air it can absorb within a minute. Choosing a range hood with higher CFM is recommended for intense cooking.
What is the advantage of our filter-less designed hoods?
-Better suction (screen on filter hoods will clogged gradually and reduce suction)
-Filter-less hood is quieter vs. filter hood even with a much higher CFM.
-Screen Filters requires much more of a maintenance
What is the advantage of our baffle filter hoods?
-Easy to clean, dishwasher safe
-Durable High-quality S/S design
-No screen for exceptional suction
How far can I run my duct work to exhaust my hood?
-for best results, keep the duct straight and short. Longer ductwork will result in weaker suction. Always use an external roof or wall cap.
How high should I mount my hood above my stove?
-Our instruction booklets recommend 24” – 30” from the bottom of the range hood to the top of the stove unless otherwise noted for that particular range hood. Overall customers feel 26” is best.
Can I use a 4” duct as opposed to a 6” duct?
-Never use 4” duct or any plastic duct on a range hood installation. The minimum size duct allowed on our range hoods is 6”.
How come there's no suction power and the smoke are coming back into the house.
-Check to make sure that 6"ducting was used throughout the installation process and make sure that both opening ends has a 6" opening. Please also make sure there is no duct smaller than 6” connected as well as no part of the ductwork squished or folded to fit into something. (sometimes ductworks are folded or crimped in order to fit inside of a wall or crawl space) Check to see if there's any obstruction or damage to the ductwork such as rips or holes and if the ducting has been loosened from the range hood.
Why does my control panel indicate blinking or flashing lights?

When do I turn on the range hood?
-Turn on the range hood BEFORE you turn on your flame, also it is recommended to leave your range hood on 3-5 minutes after you finish cooking to remove the rest of the residual fumes. Some of our hoods has a “delay off” function to help with this.
What is the best way to clean the surface of my hood?
-For stainless steel hoods, the surface should be washed regularly with a clean warm cloth along with a mild detergent. Be careful to not use abrasive cloths which may scratch the finish of the hood. Be careful to not use harsh chemical cleaners on color coated hoods. Harsh chemical cleaners or detergents may loosen the paint off the hoods.
What is the best way to clean the inside of my hood?
-Purchase a hood that has an AUTO CLEAN/STEAM CLEAN Feature such as Pacific Brand Range Hoods. With the press of a button the eternal housing will be cleaned with no intense cleaning involved.
How Often should auto clean and steam clean feature be activated?
-We recommend that the customer clean it every time after each meal if there was heavy smoke. Customer should press the auto clean button right after cooking, much easier to remove grease before it dries and hardened.
Can I replace an over the range microwave with a Range Hood?
-Yes, that is possible. Please keep in mind majority of microwave to range hood conversion requires the change of ductwork.
Is a cabinet above the hood required to mount the product?
-No, Cabinets are optional. Our hoods come with brackets that allows you to install on the wall, just make sure the hood is installed to the stud of the wall for stability. We also carry hoods that don’t require cabinets such as wall mount hoods.
Is the hood width the actual measurement that is listed?
-No, they are between an 1/8” and 1/4” smaller. Range hoods usual comes in 30” and 36”
